Performance teams from across the council are being brought together to form a central reporting hub to provide high quality data and intelligence from a diverse range of data sets using a variety of software. The team is still developing as the council establishes it vision to form a centralised Performance Team, which provides a perfect opportunity to be a part of the journey from the start.
We are looking to recruit a Data Analyst (internally we call it a Performance Support Officer) with good communication skills and an eye for detail on a 12 month temporary contract. This post requires a high degree of computer competency, in particular advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and a clear understanding of database design. Training is provided in the use of Power BI with the potential to develop your technical skills further in areas such as Business Objects, Microsoft Access, VBA, SQL and SSIS amongst other software packages. This Data Analyst post would suit a competent IT user with strong numerical and analytical skills.
The Corporate Performance team is part of the Corporate Transformation, Programmes and Performance team; the key roles we perform are the collection, manipulation and validation of data, which we turn into meaningful information to be used across the wider council and partner organisations, as well as to fulfil our statutory duties. In light of current events, Lincolnshire County Council have asked that all staff who are able to work from home to do so. Our usual location is at County Offices, Lincoln and transitioning back to the office environment is to be explored at a later date. IT equipment with be provided to create an appropriate working from home environment and remote working policies will be followed.
