AGC's Technovation Centre (Gosselies, Belgium)

  • Centralises research, engineering and IP activities in Gosselies.
  • 300 employees (200 researchers).
  • Three missions : technological innovation, technical assistance and scientific advice for which the R&D centre is developing high-tech glass products.

AGC'S technovation Centre is looking for a DATA SCIENTIST for its Automotive R&D departments

You will join one of our departments specialised in the field of automotive R&D working on the advent of the autonomous car and the revolution of tomorrow's mobility
As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of AI/Big data projects, from the requirements' analysis to the automation of the models. You will be expected to interact with both Industrial IT and Business data owners and specialists - internal and external - as well as business representatives/executives (manufacturing process, plant management, supply chain, cost controlling).

The Data Scientist will :

  • Work closely with Business stakeholders (Process, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Commercial teams) to identify and prioritize business
    requirements;
  • Identify useful (internal/external) data sources;
  • Perform analysis on collected data to select the right features;
  • Build/validate/tune/deploy ML models;
  • Communicate effectively the results and discuss the subsequent potential action plan;
  • Exchange best practices with Data Scientists from other plants and Headquarter

Requirements :

  • We are looking for a strong candidate with the following skills and qualifications:
  • Master or PHD in Information technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related field
  • Experience in AI/ML/Big Data project(s).
  • Insights of ML/AI algorithms (XGBOOST, Random-Forest, SVM, Neural Networks, etc.)
  • Effective experience in Signal Processing (Sensor data, Predictive Maintenance, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and interpret large amounts of data to underline the relevant information regarding a specific business objecti Fluent in Python.
  • Experience in Deep Learning (Keras, Tensorflow, Pytorch, ...) is a plus.
  • Experience in Big Data (Spark, Hadoop, Map-reduce, and Hive) is a plus.
