Influence the direction of a brand-new public body

The Independent Monitoring Authority (IMA) for Citizens’ Rights is a brand-new public body. Our role will be to monitor the UK’s implementation and application of the agreements made by our Government with the EU, and EEA/EFTA states, to guarantee the rights of their citizens living in the UK, now that we have left the EU. To fulfil this crucial commitment, the IMA needs to be fully operational by 31 December 2020. So, joining us gives you an exciting opportunity to help shape, at pace, the way we deliver our intelligence, analysis and decision making.

Both challenging and professionally rewarding – a career-defining opportunity

As our Head of Intelligence and Analysis, you will lead the intelligence and analysis team to deliver vital support across all aspects of our work. The role is dynamic and challenging, and combines wider strategy with opportunities to shape your team and services. As you build a high-performing team that can adeptly provide insight and respond to analytical requests, you will also create training programmes for other teams and work closely with other senior leaders to develop our analytical capabilities.

Improving our use of data and information is also a crucial part of the role, and you will head up the development of our case management system as well as our reporting techniques.

What you’ll bring

You will have excellent analytical skills and be able to use your skills to inform decision making. With the capacity to constructively challenge where improvements could be made, you will have outstanding communication skills and you will be a collaborative problem-solver. You will also have line management experience, and you will be able to make effective decisions when under pressure.

You should have a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a relevant numerate or social science discipline, e.g. maths, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, human geography or international studies.

Benefits

Join us, and you will receive a competitive benefits package that includes generous annual leave, valuable learning and development opportunities and a highly desirable contributory pension scheme. Our maternity and paternity leave is considerably more than the statutory minimum, and our multiple staff wellbeing initiatives (including flexible working options) ensure a good work/life balance.
