Our products utilize advanced statistical and machine learning algorithms to assess the quality of clinical trial data both during and following study execution. At CluePoints, we are looking for people with fresh ideas to keep developing our algorithms and help us to sustain our growth.

As a member the CluePoints Research team at our Belgian offices, you will be responsible for delivering new and/or improved statistical methods and extending the capabilities of a system for central statistical monitoring of clinical trials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extend the capabilities of a system for central statistical monitoring of clinical trials by developing new statistical analyses and new functionalities.
  • Explore a range of data analysis / statistical modeling / machine-learning techniques and evaluate (via simulations and application to real-life datasets) their suitability, properties, implementation, ease of use, etc.
  • Work in close collaboration with a team of statisticians and data mining experts.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies (e.g., US Food and Drug Administration).
  • Stay on the edge of relevant research and help CluePoints increase its scientific visibility by attending relevant conferences and publishing in scientific journals.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and CluePoints business counterparts to build innovative solutions.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior/medior Research Scientists to help develop their technical expertise and ensure delivery of optimal solutions.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION NEEDED

  • PhD in statistics or biostatistics
  • 2+ (medior), 5+ (senior) years of hands-on work experience in statistics
  • Experience in managing Statistical projects
  • Strong programming skills in R are essential.
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Willingness to travel and knowledge of diverse cultures are assets
  • Publications in scientific journals are assets
  • Post-doc years of research in the health sector are a plus
