Lead research teams to create social impact at Laterite

Position: Senior Research Associate
Location: East African capital city – Rwanda, Ethiopia, Uganda or Kenya

Your stats

Education

Masters in Economics, Statistics, Public Health, Public Policy, or related field

Experience

At least 5 years’ experience in social, economic or public policy research; including experience managing research projects and a research team

Technical

Outstanding data analysis skills (proficiency in Stata or similar software)

Your responsibilities as Senior Research Associate

  • Lead research projects, from design through to data collection, analysis and follow-through.
  • Build lasting partnerships with our clients as you use our work to help them understand complex development issues.
  • Lead, mentor and motivate research teams, and support their professional development.
  • Contribute to Laterite’s strategic decisions, such as the types of projects to pursue, how to develop the team, and how to increase the impact of our research.
  • Support business development and recruitment processes with the aim of building an exciting portfolio of research projects, an outstanding team, and a great place to work.
