We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to guide our approach to the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of quantitative information. In this key role, you will oversee the development of financial risk models that address climate and nature risk issues for our clients.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing data collection methods, conducting surveys, performing stochastic modelling and analysis, and ensuring thorough testing and reporting using advanced mathematical and statistical tools. Your leadership will be essential in shaping our data-driven strategies and delivering insightful risk assessments.

What do we need you to have?
- At least a 2:1 degree in statistics, applied mathematics or other equivalent qualification
- Demonstrable experience in a professional setting, either public or private sector
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience communicating statistical concepts to colleagues and stakeholders at every level of seniority
- Experience working with and integrating large geographic and time series data, such as weather data, geo-demographics, economic trending data
- Excellent knowledge of open and licenced statistical packages and languages such as SPSS, R, SciPy, ROOT, Pandas, MATLAB, Octave, GAUSS etc.
- Proficient programming skills (e.g. Python)
- Project management experience / certification
- Experience in climate related issues and applications, including physical / weather, economic, social and nature-based
- Understanding of risk management, disaster risk reduction, and macro-economics
