    Do you want to work for a global leader in the characterisation, standardisation and control of biological medicines? We have a fantastic opportunity to join our workforce as a Statistician.

    The National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC) plays a major role in assuring the quality of biological medicines worldwide through the provision of biological reference materials, by testing products and carrying out research.

    The Biostatistics group collaborates closely with the various scientific divisions at NIBSC (Vaccines, Biotherapeutics, Advanced Therapies, Analytical Sciences) and is responsible for several activities including:

    • the design, analysis and interpretation of international multi-centre collaborative studies to establish International Standards and other reference materials
    • providing statistical support for NIBSC control functions within the framework of the Institute quality system (assay validation, experimental design and analysis, data monitoring and review, development and validation of software for analysis)
    • supporting NIBSC’s research and development programme through statistical consultancy, data analysis and the development of methods, software and statistical applications.

    To be successful in the role you will have a post-graduate qualification in Statistics, or an equivalent qualification/relevant experience.
