About the role

The role is within the Intelligence Unit of CQC, providing specialist statistical support and analysis together with in-house statistical and data manipulation training. You will be a key member of a small team of statisticians whose knowledge, skills and experience you will complement.

About you

This role requires a graduate qualification in statistics or a related discipline, or a degree with a substantial statistical component. You will need a comprehensive understanding of statistical methodology (including advanced modelling), and experience of a range of statistical software packages, in particular SAS or R. Experience of machine learning techniques and Python would be an advantage.

You must be capable of carrying out rigorous analysis, explaining your findings to audiences at a variety of levels of statistical understanding, and interpreting statistical work carried out by others.
