The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU), a research institute within NDPH, is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, such as cancer and heart disease.As a Statistician within the Early Breast Cancer Trialists’ Collaborative Group, you will contribute to meta-analyses of individual patient and published data from previous clinical trials in breast cancer and other diseases, contribute to appropriate analyses of clinical trial data, and write statistical analysis plans.

You will also prepare tables and figures, assimilate relevant literature, prepare reports for internal discussion, draft manuscripts and contribute to statistical methodological research relevant to clinical trials and meta-analysis in collaboration with senior members of the Statistics Team.T

o be considered, you will hold a degree in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology or closely related discipline, or have equivalent experience, and have computing skills and the ability to use statistical analysis software packages (especially STATA or SAS). You will also have meticulous attention to detail and high levels of accuracy, an ability to work well independently and as part of a team and an interest in medical/epidemiological research.
