The Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane (MHB) in Neuruppin is seeking to appoint a Statistician in a full- or part-time position for initially three years (with possible extension).
The MHB is a state-recognized university under municipal and non-profit sponsorship with its three university medical centers and its four campusses in Bernau, Brandenburg an der Havel, Neuruppin and Rüdersdorf.
The Institute of Biostatistics and Registry Research in Neuruppin plays an important role in clinical and epidemiological research and develops new methods for this purpose.
How do we imagine our future colleague?
Is statistics not just a word for you, but your passion? Do you want to become or are you already an expert when it comes to study design, data analysis and presentation of results? Are you familiar with biostatistical methods and do you feel at home when dealing with numbers and diagrams? If so and if you also enjoy tackling projects independently and precisely, and if you like to think outside the box, then our international team of currently 7 people is looking forward to your application in the beautiful city of Theodor Fontane.
What projects await you at MHB?
You could take the statistical lead of a study on cross-sectoral geronto-psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation in nursing homes in collaboration with the University of Potsdam and AOK health insurance. This is a stepped-wedge cluster-randomized intervention study.
Or you take on the analysis of health insurance and other data in a study on regional differences in health care for people with dementia together with the universities in Magdeburg and Munich, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases and several health insurance companies.
Both projects are funded by the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA, Innovation Fund).
In addition, there is plenty of room for further project and design ideas as well as for personal development.
What can you expect from us?
We are a good fit for you if you are interested in meaningful work with the opportunity to contribute to the further development of our university. You will receive support from the Institute's secretariat in all organizational matters. A workplace equipped according to your needs is a matter of course for us, as is the flexible arrangement of your working hours within our core working hours. No development without breaks - you can enjoy them in the lounge with kitchen, in the cafeteria on campus or on the unique grounds of the University Hospital.
Neuruppin is a beautiful place for which it is worth moving. But the daily commute can also be easily managed from Berlin and the surrounding area. We can assist you with finding accommodation.
MHB promotes equality for all employees and diversity of our workforce. We therefore welcome applications from people with different backgrounds. We give preference to applications from people with disabilities if they are equally qualified.
