Imagine leading a community of over 100 analysts to support their development of statistical and quantitative analysis that directly impacts the quality of health and care services.
As the Practice Lead: Quantitative Analytics and Statistics in the Data and Insight team, you will develop frameworks for quality assurance in quantitative analytics.
You'll set up a new community of practice for statistics, championing this area across the organisation.
Together with our other practice leads, you will shape our approach to mixed methods analysis as an organisation.
The role
You’ll play an important part in delivering our mission. In this role, you’ll:
Shape best practices: Develop and embed CQC’s approaches to quantitative analytics and statistics, including descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and predictive methods.
Lead discussions: Drive conversations around statistical best practices and methodologies within the Data and Insight unit and across CQC.
Champion excellence: Promote a culture of excellence in quantitative analysis and statistics, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement.
Upskill: Identify gaps in our capabilities, supporting our teams with the learning they need to improve and innovate.

We will be looking for specific skills, knowledge, and experience in your application form:
Expertise in quantitative methods: Demonstrated experience in applying a range of quantitative analysis, such as hypothesis testing, ANOVA, and PCA.
Leadership in analytics: Proven experience in leading and developing analysts and managing complex statistical projects.
Technical proficiency: Extensive experience with Python, R, and SQL, and the ability to upskill a community of practitioners.
