The Section of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Surgery is part of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Urogynecology team provides a personalized and integrated patient care experience across 6 fully equipped clinical sites to allow women with pelvic floor disorders to have world class urogynecologic care close to their homes. The section includes 5 board-certified urogynecologic surgeons and 5 advanced practiced providers who work collaboratively to care for women with pelvic floor disorders. This job performs a broad range of operational activities, which may include collecting, organizing, visualizing, and analyzing research data. This job also performs assignments related to data manipulation, statistical applications, programming, analysis and modeling.
This will involve implementing state of the art methodologies for imaging and data analysis. The individual may participate in publications and presentations resulting from the work.
Successful candidates will have a degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field. A successful applicant will be proficient in statistical programming (or related language); have experience with REDCap; be familiar with software used for statistical analyses, such as R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Stata, etc.; a successful applicant will have the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Assists in analyzing data for the purpose of extracting applicable information. Performs research projects that provide analysis for a number of programs and initiatives.
- May assist staff or faculty members with data manipulation, statistical applications, programming, analysis and modeling on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis.
- Collects, organizes, and may analyze information from the University's various internal data systems as well as from external sources.
- Maintains and analyzes statistical models using general knowledge of best practices in machine learning and statistical inference. Performs maintenance on large and complex research and administrative datasets. Responds to requests and engages other IT resources as needed.
- Relies on administrative guidance and review, collaborates with researchers in designing, implementing, and monitoring research projects and assumes primary responsibility for the analysis and presentation of project data.
- With researcher guidance assists in developing objectives, designing sampling, randomization, and data collection procedures to achieve study objectives.
- Analyzes data and prepares tables for interim and final reports. Designs tables and statistical procedures for specific research studies.
- Maintains collaboration with other research support personnel, including analysts and programmers in monitoring and assessing data quality.
- Performs other related work as needed.

Education:
- Degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Experience working in an Academic Medical Center.
- Experience supporting physicians/faculty.
- Experience supporting leadership positions.
