London based – The total package for this role at SEO is £49,500 per annum (non-negotiable). This figure includes a non-pensionable, non-consolidated Location Allowance of £5,000.
Milton Keynes based – The total package for this role at SEO is £46,250 per annum (non-negotiable). This figure includes a non-pensionable, non-consolidated Location Allowance of £1,750.
East Kilbride based – The total package for this role at SEO is £44,500 per annum (non-negotiable).
Based in London, Milton Keynes or East Kilbride, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Contract: Permanent and full time. You’ll be required to work in line with FCDO policies on hybrid working, which involves a minimum of 60% in the office.

Your role with us
Working alongside our Counter Fraud Policy Team, you’ll lead on and develop innovative, proactive methodology designed to identify fraudulent and wasteful activity within the FCDO. Whether it’s inefficiencies, poor value for money or inappropriate spend, you’ll identify and analyse data sources, drive fraud investigations and take charge as the decision maker for triaging identified issues.
Acting as a key point of contact, you’ll own relationships with senior stakeholders and colleagues across the FCDO, promoting a culture of learning, development and continuous improvement. You’ll lead a team within Investigations and Internal Audit, focusing on the improved use and quality of data analysis as a tool to assist in fraud investigations across the FCDO network.
Who we’re looking for
With a relevant qualification in a related field, or significant experience working in counter fraud, data analysis or financial accountability, you’ll have a well-developed understanding of data sources, data organisation and storage. You’ll be able to research, benchmark, scope, design, implement and evaluate project delivery — delivering under pressure and to tight deadlines.
On a personal level, you’ll be resilient and organised, capable of managing multiple concurrent workstreams. A true team player and effective collaborator, you’ll be adept at explaining complex topics, delivering difficult messages with clarity and simplicity, and presenting data in a clear and compelling way.
