We are seeking a Biostatistician who will provide research support to two funded NIH studies that are investigating cancer and COVID-19 among Medicaid beneficiaries with and without HIV infection. The Biostatistician will work closely with the study Principal Investigators and research team to support the conduct of the research. The successful applicant will contribute to the development and application of statistical methods to advance the scientific goals of the studies.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for data management and data analysis.
- Develop analytical plans, develop specifications for analytic datasets, and will write and implement complex statistical programs.
- Required to report study findings on bi-weekly team meetings and scientific abstracts/manuscripts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, or related quantitative field.
- One-year related experience.
- Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in analyzing Medicaid or Medicare claims data.
- Experience analyzing longitudinal data in the context of a research study.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate findings in meetings and scientific abstracts/manuscripts.
