Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Mathematical Studies at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#107310) at the rank of assistant or associate professor in Statistics. The start date for the position is August 1, 2024.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach mathematics and statistics courses at all levels, conduct independent research in statistics, biostatistics, probability, or stochastics, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.

Required Education

A terminal degree in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.

Other Desirables

Applicants actively collaborating with industry, medical researchers, or data scientists and those with research areas that complement and enhance the existing expertise in the department will receive special consideration.
