The Opportunity

As a member of our global Data Science team, that we are expanding into the UK, you will design development programs that allow data-driven decision-making. From candidate nomination through to commercialization and in close partnership with the Primary Focus Divisions, Medical Affairs and Early Development, the Statistical Programming team is accountable for all statistical aspects globally.

To note, we have several positions available, ranging from Associate Manager to Associate Director.

Key Activities for this role:

  • Working either within Oncology Statistical Programming, Cell & Gene Therapy and Biopharma Statistical Programming or Exploratory Statistics.
  • Using state-of-the-art methodology and the most innovative approach, to generate compelling evidence using clinical trials or real-world data (RWD) to ensure successful and timely regulatory approval, pricing, reimbursement, and patient access.
  • Producing high-quality, on-time assigned deliverables (such as datasets and tables/listings/figures (TLFs), taking an active role in submission, post-hoc, and/or ad hoc activities.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Your knowledge and experience will differ depending on the seniority of the role and your background but should broadly cover the below:
  • Relevant programming experienced gained within the pharmaceutical or a related industry and exposure to working with vendors.
  • SAS and preferably one or more statistical/data science programming languages such as R (training can be provided) or Python.
  • Exposure to working with clinical datasets, statistical methodology, and CSR/submission deliverables.
  • An understanding of the data science lifecycle and process flow (e.g., ETL, data quality, statistical data analysis, machine learning, data randomization.
  • Comprehension of clinical data standards (CDISC), TLFs, and submission guidelines
  • Knowledge of study documents such as Protocol, SAP, TLF specs, and data specification.
  • The ability to read, analyse, and communicate large and small amounts of data efficiently including teaching/explaining data-driven results to others.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Oncology experience is desirable however not essential for all teams

Educations/Qualifications:

  • An MSc, PhD or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics or a related scientific field is highly desirable however a bachelor's degree combined with work-based experience within Statistics would also be considered.

Other Information:

  • We offer a hybrid working pattern, requiring one day per quarter in the office (Addlestone), blended with a collaborative video environment that supports working from home.
