Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within Oxford Population Health, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, such as cancer and heart disease.
We are seeking a Genetic Epidemiologist to join a team of epidemiologists and statisticians analysing data from the Mexico City Prospective Study. This post represents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a research program at the forefront of genetic epidemiology, contributing to the prediction, prevention and better understanding of diseases, using one of the largest population datasets currently available, and in a previously-understudied population.
To be considered you will have an MSc in genetics, applied statistics or related subject, and experience in genomics including working with genome-wide genotyping and sequencing data. You will also have experience of common statistical and computational methods used in statistical genetics, an understanding of inferential statistics and principles and have excellent organisational and communication skills.
The post is full time (although part time considered) and fixed term for 2 years. The closing date for applications is noon on 20 February 2023.
