We are looking for a Head of Statistics and Data Management who will be the accountable for biostatistical deliverables and for ensuring excellence in biostatistics activities in terms of quality, timeliness, and budget for clinical trials under the responsibility of Statistics and Data Management.

He/she will ensure leadership in managing and leading biostatistics personnel in terms of processes, roles, responsibilities, and personal development.

Head of statistics and data management will also provide leadership, promote communication, and adequate information flow to motivate, encourage, and align biostatistics personnel with the company’s strategic objectives.

It's a home based position.


  • Coordinate and manage processes and interfaces with other organizational units and relevant external partners
  • Responsible to apply state-of-the-art clinical & statistical methodology
  • Define/review/contribute project management plan of clinical and non-clinical activities and ensure that deadlines are met
  • Lead global biostatistics department with respect to strategy, deliverables, processes, budgeting, resourcing, and professional development
  • Support the team in the selection, management, and surveillance of external vendors to ensure their deliverables meet expectations in terms of quality, timelines, and budget
  • Develop and maintain organization and skills of biostatistics personnel to achieve company strategic objectives. Accomplish this by ensuring personnel development and providing coaching and mentoring
  • Actively participate in the development of Statistics & Data Management department as per department vision and in line with Company strategic objectives and business needs


  • Minimum 5 years experience in industry or CRO in drug or device development
  • Fluent English
  • Expert in application of "state-of-the-art" biostatistical methodology in the project under responsibilities.
  • Deep understanding & knowledge of guidelines and quality in clinical research and regulatory processes


  • University degree (MSc) with excellent track record in mathematics, statistics, biometry or equivalent (PhD preferable)


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a life science industry in clinical development (either pharmaceutical, medical device or CRO).
