The Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods (DEMM) is seeking candidates for a tenured position of Associate Professor in Statistics (SECS-S/01 Statistica). Starting Gross Salary €51,000 (researchers who have been continuatively resident outside of Italy for the last 2 years can benefit from a four-years tax exemption on 90% of their gross salary, resulting in an annual net salary of approximately €45,000).
Teaching load: 120 hours per year. Indicative starting date: October 2018.

According to RepEc, the Department of Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods – DEMM is one of the top five departments of economics in Italy and in the top four percent in Europe. The recent Italian research evaluation exercise (VQR 2011-2014) placed DEMM among the top 10 departments in the area of economics, management and statistics in Italy.
DEMM has also been the recipient of a generous competitive funding in the recent “Bando Dipartimenti di Eccellenza” grant, awarded by the Italian ministry of education (MIUR) and aimed at creating the Centre of Excellence in Economics and Data Science (CEEDS).
We are looking for candidates who can teach in English and who have a strong research record in any area of Statistics. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their CVs, publications, and interviews.
